Kickstarter is full of ambitious projects, but few are taking off as quickly as the AInote 2 Paper Tablet. The campaign, which launched on September 9, reached its modest funding goal of $8,600 in just five minutes. By September 12, it had raised more than $183,000, showing just how much attention the ultra-thin E Ink device has garnered.
According to Notebookcheck, the AInote 2 is positioning itself as a direct competitor to devices like the Remarkable Paper Pro and Onyx Boox. Its most notable feature is its form factor: at just 4.2mm thick, it’s officially the world’s thinnest E Ink tablet. For comparison, the popular Remarkable 2 measures in at 4.7mm.
