Samsung has finally taken the plunge and officially unveiled the Galaxy Z TriFold, the company’s first triple-folding flagship phone. The new model has been the subject of leaks and speculation for months, and the presentation confirms that Samsung has chosen a completely different design solution than HUAWEI’s Mate XT series.
While Huawei uses a Z-shaped “accordion fold” that folds the panels outward, Samsung has opted for a G-shaped inward fold. To achieve this, the company had to develop dual titanium hinges with extra high strength, marking a new technical direction for the company’s foldable design.

A pocket size of 10 inches
When fully unfolded, the Galaxy Z TriFold transforms into a 10-inch display with 1564×2160 pixels, adaptive refresh rate of 1–120 Hz, and up to 1600 nits of brightness. Although the Huawei Mate XT is marginally larger (10.2 inches), Samsung’s panel delivers strong brightness and narrow bezels.
A 10 MP front camera is integrated into a discreet camera hole in the upper right corner, and the screen is – just like in all Z models – protected by a factory-installed film.
Secondary screen with maximum brightness
On the outside is a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2520, the same refresh rate of 1–120 Hz and a tall aspect ratio of 21:9. This panel is significantly brighter at up to 2600 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. A new 10 MP selfie camera is placed at the top.

Camera system with 200 MP as the main attraction
The back of the Galaxy Z TriFold offers an advanced triple camera:
-
200 MP main sensor
-
10 MP telephoto lens with 3× optical zoom
-
12 MP ultrasonic angle
The leaks were therefore completely accurate – Samsung is putting its most capable camera system in this new top model.
Premium performance and three-piece battery
The Galaxy Z TriFold gets an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy , combined with:
-
16 GB RAM memory
-
512GB or 1TB storage
To power the device, Samsung has developed a 5600 mAh battery that is divided into three separate modules , one for each part of the phone’s unique design. It supports:
-
45W fast charging
-
15W wireless charging
The software is One UI 8 based on Android 16, which brings full support for multi-window, advanced continuity, and new foldable features.

Launching soon – but price still unknown
The Galaxy Z TriFold will first arrive in South Korea with sales starting on December 12, and will then be launched in:
-
Depth
-
Taiwan
-

-
deer
Samsung has yet to reveal the price, but this will undoubtedly be a premium product at the upper end of the market.
